PMS
1. people asking me whether i am going here or there and then not telling me anything about the plans after that. if that is the case, then don't even bother asking me in the first place.
2. people telling me "let's go do this", or "let's go do that" or "i will do this" or "i will do that" and then nothing comes out of it. at least inform that it's not going to happen, or don't bother even mentioning it from the start, if nothing is going to happen. i hate to expect things and then sit around waiting for them to happen.
3. create your own story and facts..like say I SAID we are supposed to meet at 9 for dinner, when what i said was "who the hell wants to meet you for dinner?! and "who wants your dinner treat?!" (...and i said it on a THREE-WAY conversation, so there's proof) and then get pissed with me and show me a freaking black face when a whole bunch of us are hanging out together. first FACT: there was no such plan at all. second FACT: meeting at 9 and reaching at 1030 is being late for one and a half hours. try to remember the numerous times that i and the others have waited for you, for two-three hours (i can come up with a list, if needed). third FACT: if you were where you were supposed to be in the first place, maybe you will see the whole picture that we got hounded by the sales people for 2 blardee hours before we actually did half an hour of anything useful. fourth FACT: we said we will call when we ended because we don't know what time that would be, and we did...you refused to pick up..so go figure who is in the wrong if someone really has to be blamed. getting pissed is one thing, don't go on to say things like "if they want to explain they should call me a few more times"...don't start this counting rubbish, i am a million times better at it. if you want to show that you are pissed and walk off in a huff or whatever it was, it didn't affect who it was supposed to, because who you were pissed with wasn't even in the wrong. and if you want to be pissed, jolly well tell me the reason, don't show me your black face, i can make an even blacker face, and today is vesak day...i can go to the temple to see the hak-min san (black face god) if i really want to see one.

i wish i had more exciting things to do...
the sun was scorching and i perspired like a fat pig until the perspiration started to sting! but the navy openhouse was pretty interesting coz i got to check out the insides of the ships. and most importantly, i went for a ride on a ship similar to the one that my someone works on. i got to check out the working environment and place where he works, eats and sleeps. not forgetting the very cubicle that he sends me all the morning smses from, while he craps....how romantic...NOT!
after spending 4 solid hours under the hot sun, and checking out almost every ship on display, i can proudly say that i still CANNOT differentiate one vessel from another. I also CANNOT differentiate the numerous types of missiles/torpedoes/weapons/equipments on each ship. However, i also know that i CAN fall asleep on a boat ride, and that the chances of me falling and injuring myself, if i were to ever work on one of these ships, is VERY high. once again... i am an ultimate loser...yay :(
while we were out at sea, we caught sight of the waterspout that was featured in the newspapers. it was just way cool...it's just one of those natural formations that all geography students wished they would witness in their life..haha..ok maybe just me. but honestly i was super amused, and i couldn't stop taking pictures of it. I managed to capture enough photos to document it's growth...woohoo!
see that ship in colour? that's the one my someone works on...at least i recognise it..haha..and see the one on the top left corner?it's the coolest ship in the entire navy. it's the frigade aka pornstar ship...go figure out why! anyway it is the newest ship in the navy, and it has everything on it...say...why am i promoting it?! wth...
there was just something about this barometer and the clock that caught my eye, and i had to take a picture of them. charles laughed at me because these were the only things in the entire ship that i took a picture of...very funny meh?
waterspout! waterspout! cool eh??
oh...FINALLY...after 22 plus years...i visited mt faber on saturday night. that's one place off the list of places in singapore that i have never been to. errr what do i think of mt faber? dark, hot and not very exciting. i was disappointed by the view that i got...or rather the lack of it.
some other places that i have to visit (again) this lifetime...
- bukit timah hill
- seletar reservoir
- pulau ubin
- the zoo (haven't been there since pri 1)
- jurong bird park (haven't been there since pri 2)
- singapore science centre (haven't been there since pri 6)
- underwater world (haven't been there since kindergarten dunno what)
what other places are there to go to? name me a few...i'm sure i haven't been there...
pump-p-pump-p-pump..pump it up!
clarke quay is super amazing now. i haven't been there in a friggin long time, and i was amused by what i saw that night. the place was packed to the max, and there were a million new pubs which looked really nice. they all had cool themes and concepts. was particulary amused by the clinic because the drinks were served out of those bags that are used to contain drips in hospitals. then there was the restaurant with the morgue like entrance..err dunno what's the name, but that whole concept was just damn wrong. so blardee morbid...i sure wouldn't eat there...plus hil said it's expensive...haha..
we had supper at the satay club after that. not really worth the price that we paid. i think we were better off eatin macs. the milo-peng was HORRIBLE, the food was so-so and who the hell charges 18 bucks for 15 sticks of satay?! oh..not forgetting the negro fried kway teow, negro prata, negro dunno what...surely not racist.

pumproom's a pub/mini-club/microbrewery. types of beer available: pump room lager, bohemian lager, scottish ale, wheat ale and indian pale ale. most of them are pretty nice, except for the indian pale ale which tasted like rusty nails soaked in water *gag* they have live band, and when the band is not playing, they play rnb. what i like about the place....free entry...smoke free :)

there can ONLY be ONE beer for our kunies....INDIAN PALE ALE :

Fortune Telling
Lately, tons of people around me seem to have caught on to the whole fortune telling thing. As much as i want to get my fortune told, i do not possess the fortune to pay the fortune teller, to have my fortune told. Hence, i haven't gone to one. But (there's always a but, or many buts to a story)..about 2 weeks ago, i got to know hil's colleague, longan, who sort of knows how to read a person's palm. So here's what he deduced from reading my palm:
- I seldom fall in love -- true
- I don't really love my current boyfriend. I'm not satisfied with him, but I'm ok with being with him for the time being -- wtf. sensitive topic. cannot anyhow comment on this...haha...joking...SO NOT TRUE lor! *ahem*
- There's someone out there for me, just that i am damn picky and choosy -- is it? what a lie. how to be picky and choosy when there aren't any choices to choose from?
- I spend a lot of money -- true
- I spend a lot of money but not on myself. I splurge on the ones i love and think it's worth it -- true
- I am lucky because the money i spend is someone else's -- really? whose?...ok not at the moment at least....of course he meant in the future, after i get married..or maybe if i become someone's mistress...CHOY!
- I do not seem to have much of a career -- wtf...there goes my dream of becoming a strong headed, independent career woman
- I will be a tai tai in the future -- okay..at least that makes up for me not having a career.
- the best comment he made, "everybody's palm depicts what the mind thinks, hence the lines on the palm change very often. judging from the vague lines on your palm..you do not use your brain much!" -- WTF!.. he then added.."what i meant was, in life, you follow your heart more than your mind".....that had better be what you actually meant! anyway this is not true...i super rationalise everything before doing it, or do i?
He then looked at my face and deduced that....
- I am a kind hearted person -- why of course! even though i refuse to help people..
- I am a soft hearted person, and whenever i watch sad movies i will cry -- wow...you can tell that from my face?? true though...
The other day when i accompanied my colleague to her fortune teller...her fortune teller looked at my face and said that in the future, i will have a good life. My children and grandchildren will be very successful people, and they will be very fillial to me.
Huat ah! I guess i can hand in my resignation letter now and just laze at home everyday since it seems like i will have a good life in the future.....yar right...back to work!
anyway out of point...but since all the xanga using people have that "currently listening to" thing at the bottom of their post, i must be kiasu and have it to.
Currently listening to: Backstreet Boys! I'm a fan of the BSB and proud of it!
Because I am a Singaporean...
He was pretty good with the whole payment process until the part where he had to insert his atm card to pay his close to $3k credit card bill. He wanted to get a receipt from the machine, but he kept pressing the "eReceipt" button and it kept bringing him to the "Please enter your email address" screen, which he stared at for eternity, because he didn't know what the hell they were asking for. After he was done staring at the screen, he would bend down to the receipt dispenser to collect his print out, but of course nothing came out since it was supposed to be an eReceipt. Then he went back to staring at the screen which timed out, and went back to the payment screen again.
He repeated this entire process like 5 times before he finally turned around to ask me "Sorry, how come like that ah?". I replied, "Uncle, you never press pay. That's why there's no receipt. Anyway the button that you pressed won't give you a receipt" He then said, "ohhh...you mean i haven't paid? then how?"
So i stepped up and pressed the "Nets" button and told him to insert his atm card and pin, and then stepped back so that he wouldn't think that i was peeking at him keying in his pin. He then waited for damn long before some red message appeared and then the screen went back to the payment screen again. After repeating this new process three times, he turned around and asked me again " How come cannot ah?" I then asked him to try again, and i read the message that popped up and said, "Uncle, the daily limit of your atm card is lesser than the amount that you are trying to pay. You can only pay part of your bill." He then said, "Ohhh..." and continued to pay the entire $3k two more times before he turned around to say to me "Sorry, you go ahead...i pay another day"
I smiled at him and said ok but inside i was thinking "basket..why don't you pay part of it first...i'm sure you're gonna do this whole thing again tmr. bet you didn't get my explanation."
When i got home, i told my sister the entire story, and then she asked me..
sis: "how come you knew what was going on the entire time?"
me: "because i was peeking over his shoulder the entire time...haha!"
sis:" hahaha...you are so kaypo! then why you never help him earlier"
to which i gave the best answer on earth...
me:"because i am a Singaporean...I MIND MY OWN BUSINESS"
sis: "HHAHAHAHAHHAHA!! GOOD ONE!"
Not that i am proud of what i did, but there are just some times...no sorry...make that many times, when i can't be bothered to help people. I only help when asked to.
Other reasons why i never bother to be a good samaritan:
- Many years ago, i gave up my seat on the bus to an old lady, but she said that she was alighting soon and told me to sit back down. When i turned around some fucker already sat in my seat. So i had to stand from bishan all the way back to pasir ris.
- A few years later i gave up my seat to a mother who was carrying her daughter, who also refused to sit down, and once again another fucker rushed to sit in what was my seat. This time round i had to stand from clementi to pasir ris, and i was freaking tired because i was in school from like 9am to 6pm.
- Today, i gave up my seat to an old lady, who SAT DOWN and smiled and said thank you, but i almost lost my balance and fell flat on my butt while trying to give up my seat to her, because the train jerked. At least she was nice and polite.
- Once i picked up some stuff for this person who dropped her things on the floor and she didn't say thank you.
- I have held the lift door for numerous people who have never thanked me...fuckers..their parents never teach them manners.
- My friend tried to help a man who was having difficulty walking once and he started touching her hands...fucking pervert.
- My sister was about to give up her seat to this mother with her daughter who just entered the train, when she overheard the mother saying to her daughter, "don't bother looking around la, like anyone will be so kind as yet as to give up their seat to us". So my sister planted her butt back on the chair and even grew roots on it, and was glad that she didn't stand up earlier.
- I have given way to numerous drivers on the road who never thank me.
- Oh the most classic...i met a pervert on the bus once and when i asked for help from the girl next to me, she gave me a nervous laughter and looked away, and the woman behind me just stared like as though she was watching some amusing movie.
So you see...instead of making an effort to be nice to the people around me, and receiving nothing in return, i might as well just not do anything.
If my dad gets wind of this...he will certainly embark on yet another one of his "Singapore will die in the future with youths like you"...
Happy M Day!
We had a buffet dinner at Park Royal Plaza - Vietnamese food (YUCKS!), Sashimi (YUMZ), all sorts of prata and a very disappointing choice of dessert.
We also bought our dear mumu mum (she gave herself that name..don't ask me why..) a mahjong table, a set of mahjong and her favourite kim soon dvd.
Anyhow..Happy Big M Day and we hope you had a great time this year mumu mum :)

From your three laughly and daughters!

bitches and asses
These past two days have been like freaking shit, talking to the world's biggest assholes and bitches.
assholes:
- conveniently push their work to whoever they can push it to.
- get pissed that people never do THEIR work.
- reprimand people and have the cheek to mention about how we are not being value-added to the company, when they are a complete waste of company resources themselves.
bitches:
- always thinking that their staff are in the wrong, instead of doubting other people.
- lousy bosses who don't know a single shit about shielding their own team members
- unreasonable *beeps* who don't even let you finish your sentence...and cut you off by saying " no ...no...no...no...."...no your motherfarking head la...
- calculative like hell - "my job does not require me to do this and that"...well neither is it in mine...but i am doing it, so i don't see why you have to be such a bitch.
- address ppl as "aye" ...fuck..i got no name ah? CHEEEBYE
why!? oh why?! do such fuckheads exist?! my only advice to them..."FUCK OFF AND DIE ,YOU USELESS BEINGS!"

prankster paradise
Prank #1: Operation drive car into dead end
On April Fool's day, daph and i wanted to remove a tyre from char's car..but then we decided that, that was too evil, so we changed the plan to removing one tyre and replacing it with a spare, and see how long it takes before she realises that one tyre has a black hub cap while the rest have silver ones....
1 hr later, we decided that it was too troublesome..so..we 'stole' her keys from her bag and sneaked downstairs (dragged cind along of course) while she was in the toilet, and we drove her car into a dead end. daph then used her own car to block char's and cind video-ed e entire prank! it was freaking hilarious...especially when we got caught by her at level one (while we were on the way out to remove the tyres off one of the manager's bicycle) and were dumbfounded when she asked where did we come from and what were we doing...haha!
unfortunately, the prank failed, because some dumbass drove his car away and she managed to escape. SIGH...Prank #2: Operation find red bike. Remove tyres.
This failed, because we couldn't find the bicycle. Zzzzzzz.....
Prank #3: Operation wreck desktop.
This was a partial success. Heh!
While daph and char 'kidnapped' CJ for a supposed smoke break..i did a print screen of her desktop, set it as her wallpaper, and hid the desktop icons...so she had static icons on her laptop. haha...and she obviously did not realise it, because CJ's known for being blur! she didn't realise until a long time later, coz someone went up to her to ask about some .zip file on purpose. after clicking on the icons for like a million times..she got frustrated and said.."aiya! hang la! later then try!", and went back to her work...while the rest of us were squatting behind the wall of her cubicle and laughing our heads off..haha...
she only found out at the end of the day, because our manager gave the game away..but of course she got scolded by the rest of us for letting the cat out of the bag.
Now that all of us are hooked onto playing pranks, my supervisor has already taught of a new one and has already chosen the victims. We are just waiting for a good opportunity to execute the prank...HEH!

Ok ...enough of all these stupid IT terms and rejoicing because with my kind of luck in IT, i am sure to jinx all these things with my rejoicing, and everything will just die on me when i least expect them to. BAH!
Anyhow..damn sad. My whole family's going to bkk and pataya next week without me. wtf. i have been appointed the caretaker for the period that they are gone, and i have to watch over the maid and the house (as though it can run away...). sure i'll do a good job...O_O..just look how widely opened my eyes are! and even sadder...i am not going to eastern europe anymore because my sister can't get her leave...BOOOHOOOHOOO! (p.s. pang pang! looks like we are not fated to meet over there *sob*)
alright. time to go back to powerpoint charts, excel sheets and more deployment stuff. zzzzz...

spent the last 2 days at home lying in bed, or sitting on the t-bowl..and of course...not forgetting farting a million times. gross. well i did something stupid on sunday night. have you ever fallen sick after suffering from constipation for a few days? well, initially i thought the fever and bodyache thing was caused by the lack of discharge of toxic body waste, hence i took some laxatives with the paracetamol, and tried to solve the whole problem. but instead of getting better, it got worse..because i was actually suffering from what's supposed to be a more serious form of diarrhoea...so of course laxatives+diarrhoea=die on t-bowl.
talk about stupidity. sigh.

office humour....

"If Bill Gates Had Built the Car"
For all of us who feel only the deepest love and affection for the way computers have enhanced our lives, read on...
At a recent computer expo (COMDEX), Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated,
"If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25.00 cars that got 1,000 miles to the gallon."
In response to Bill's comments, GM issued a press release stating:
If GM had developed technology like Microsoft, we would all be driving cars with the following characteristics (and I just love this part):
1. For no reason whatsoever, your car would crash........ Twice a day.
2. Every time they repainted the lines in the road, you would have to buy a new car.
3. Occasionally your car would die on the freeway for no reason. You would have to pull to the side of the road, close all of the windows, shut off the car, restart it, and reopen the windows before you could continue. For some reason you would simply accept this.
4. Occasionally, executing a maneuver such as a left turn would cause your car to shut down and refuse to restart, in which case you would have to reinstall the e ngine.
5. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was reliable, five times as fast and twice as easy to drive - but would run on only five percent of the roads.
6. The oil, water temperature, and alternator warning lights would all be replaced by a single "This Car Has Performed An Illegal Operation" warning light.
I love the next one!!!
7. The airbag system would ask "Are you sure?" before deploying.
8. Occasionally, for no reason whatsoever, your car would lock you out and refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lifted the door handle, turned the key and grabbed hold of the radio antenna.
9. Every time a new car was introduced car buyers would have to learn how to drive all over again because none of the controls would operate in the same manner as the old car.
10. You'd have to press the "Start" button to turn the engine off.

phuket...phuket...
.jpg)
a day of being a typical tourist, and getting 'cheated' at all the designated tourist spots. first mistake of the day - boarding a cab tt promised to bring us ard for 20 baht per person. We ended in places like the lok kok pearl factory, the honey factory (where we had to listen to this uncle describe how good honey is for the body in MANDARIN),the dfs shop...until finally we requested to just have our lunch and be sent back to the hostel. so we got driven to this restaurant meant for kah-ing tourist aka us, and had this super sumptuous spread by the sea.this sumptuous spread of course came with a hefty bill of 50 plus sgd, and i almost stupidly gave a 1000baht tip..all because of my blurness and miscommunication. i hate communication barriers. times like these make me wish i knew how to speak every single language on this planet. hah! nevertheless, the lunch was damn shiok, and my fav dish was the deep-fried squid with garlic and black pepper..yumz to the core. thankfully the taxi driver was honest, and didn't pull any weird stunts, such as charging us more than the 20baht that he quoted at the start of the excursion. then again, i guess we can trust the thais..afterall they seem to be a bunch of full-of-morals people!
ventured around phuket town later that night. because i found a whole slab of charcoal pills in my bag, i decided to be a little less cowardly, and a little more adventurous by trying out the food at the night market..so here i am eating my bowl of fishball kway teow in the night market. the night market had like cockroaches (hil's best friends..haha) running ard and dogs lazing around. it kind of shouted "GUARANTEED TO MAKE YOU LAO SAI!", but surprisingly no such thing happened.haha..looks like my fears of eating at roadside stalls all these years, were uncalled for.
the next day, tourguide charles brought us to this place that according to the lonely planet sells one of the famous phuket delicacies. this supposed delicacy was absolutely not delicate to our tastebuds at all. when the spoonful of noodles soaked with curry enters your mouth, the first thing that goes to your mind is,"yummm..green curry.."..and that thought is immediately replaced by an explosion in your mouth and a "knnbccbmf SPICY la!!!" afterwhich, your tongue hangs out like a dog, and you will start fanning it to make the spiciness go away, but sorry ,no such luck. we finally got rid of that burning sensation with this sweet glutinous rice with tapioca dessert that the shopkeeper and his wife offered to us (while laughing at our monkey act). mental note: no more phuket delcacies for the rest of the trip!
after that super hot breakfast, we found a tuktuk parked along the road, and after negotiating with the driver, he promised to bring us to the bungy jump/go-kart/patong beach for 300baht, and even promised to wait for us,to send us back..but...not before offering to bring us to some tourist hotspot. omg...not again. we said no like one million times, and he begged us to just go to 2 places so that he can get his chops, and then he'll bring us to our destinations. the way these taxis and tuktuk work, are that they work for this company that pays them a commission for every tourist hotspot that they bring their passengers to. so, being the kindsouls that we were (haha!), we agreed to go to only ONE place..and it turned out to be the same pearl factory that we went to the day before -_-".
the rest of the afternoon was spent on thai massages (shiookk), pedicure/manicure and watching "happy" boys play volley ball and work their "broken wrist" syndrome. totally iron-ladies like.
mobile advertisment:"tonight..tonight..monday night...come watch the best..come watch them fight..tonight..tonight...monday night..." -_-"
muay thai match in the night. wah..damn hardcore man the fighting, no such thing as acting, like in the WWE matches. the first match involved two kids, this poor fat boy, he looked so tough and fierce, but he started hyperventilating when the other boy punched him in the stomach. there were guest boxers from japan, iran and "u-s-and-a". the jap guy damn jia lat..after 2 punches, his head started bleeding and his face was covered in blood, but he was a fighter..he didn't give up until he konked out in round 4! the iranian guy was a wuss. he looked so fierce, like a terrorist..hahaha..but he got cornered the entire match by the damn zhai thai boxer. and as for the "u-s-and-a" guy..he basically just ran round the ring trying to buy time and not get knocked out. yet another wuss.
we took the local public bus to patong beach again the next day, and the trip cost us 20 bahts each, and there was no such thing as going to tourist destinations this time round. damn. why didn't we just take the bus??? at patong beach, we got off 1km from our destination, all because we were trying to be smart asses and guess where our guesthouse was at,instead of asking. haha..so we had to troop back to the hotel in the sweltering heat, with our heavy bags slung over our shoulders, and i got a sunburn from doing that. omg, i swear i am the ultimate loser.
after scouting ard for our chang beer/red bull/singha beer singlets and fake-o board shorts, not forgetting our price slashing session, we changed into our beach wear and headed to the beach to slack under the hot sun with a cold beer. sweet. i of course chose to hide under the umbrella because i turn dark damn fast, and i of course turn into a bangla in no time..jpg)
spa at karon beach later that night, wah it was super duper good, but i forgot to bring my cam into the spa room. it was super duper nice! and we ended the night with yet another seafood feast, at one of those makeshift roadside stalls outside our guesthouse. the service was super good, and that made us wonder why our country can never achieve that standard of service, when the people serving at a ROADSIDE stall in phuket could. sigh...
after dinner, we went for a few rounds around patong beach - to breathe in the night air, fully utilise the bike (thank you "click", you served us well..haha), and to enjoy the night scene- and a stroll down the clubbing street, was how my last night in phuket ended. and then it was back to dreary old sg for me :(
those who had a ball of a time in krabi. shucks...it looks so damn nice. i wish i went.

zzzzzzz
wah my blog has been damn dead ever since i locked it, and i think it still is going to be because i am damn lazy to blog! bah!
anyway...was away in phuket for the past few days...and i have to say that is a damn nice place!
seriously...i am about the last person on earth who would go to one of these beachy places because i am absolutely not a beach person and i hate tanning like hell. that's because i turn dark damn fast and always end up looking like a freaking bangla instead of some healthy sporty hot chic...burnt fat chick, maybe..but hot chick...no.
omg..1am...time to sleep...i shall blog more when i have my cam back and when i am less lazy!

GONG XI FA CAI!
doing stupid poses.having to squeeze through the very crowded, hot and humid crowd..reminds me of KL's chinatown.hobz with the hugeass ong lai.

a letter to my parents...
Re: Valentine's Day.
Dear Mom n Dad,
Happy Valentine's Day! I'm sure you guys are aware that it is Valentine's Day today, even though you both do not celebrate it, because it's all over the media. However, i am even more sure that you guys realised that this makes yet another year that your dear daughter does not have a date...and this happens to be the whole point of this letter. Ok, no. I take that back. It is not exactly about not having a date...but more about that big peony painting you have on your living room wall. (if you are not sure which one i was referring to...i've attached a picture of it for your reference...)

I think it is time you guys found new friends or asked for a refund for the painting! You all need new friends, because your friends who told you that if you hung a peony painting in your house, your daughters will have "tao hua yun", probably lied to you.OR...the huge ass porcelain peony painting that you shipped all the way from Hong Kong, which cost you a whooping $1k is probably fake. I know! Maybe the flowers in the painting are actually chrysanthemums! Now i'm even more convinced that you both NEED to get a refund immediately! Hmmph! Oh alright...i was just joking.................NOT! (Borat Style..Ha!)In any case Happy Valentines Day once again.
Love.. Hugs and Kisses,
Your Laughly Daughter!
P.S. On the way down to take a photo of that painting...i noticed your pot of newly acquired artificial flowers, that are precariously positioned at the corner of the staircase, under tt huge "Your Dad is watching you!" painting...and they look suspiciously like peonies too...ok we get the hint.
