d-i-a-r-r-h-e-a

di-ar-rhe-a
–noun Pathology.
an intestinal disorder characterized by abnormal frequency and fluidity of fecal evacuations.

i have always been relatively proud of the fact that i know how to spell this particular intestinal "illness" because most people do not know how to. and the only reason why i know how to spell it is because......i suffer from it so many times in one year, i can't even count.

and the fact that i am blogging about it, can only mean that i am suffering from it yet again. and the diarrhea that i have this time round is no joke my friend. it has gone on for a good 4 days, and is at it's worse between 7.30pm to 10.30pm. and most peculiarly it strikes immediately after i have slurped up my last spoon of soup at dinner..after which, i have to make a mad dash to my favourite room in the entire house - the toilet.

i have no idea how to stop it also, because i have resorted to consuming the most disgusting medicine (it's thick and white, looks like liquid paper, smells like paint, and when consumed it has this foul taste and grainy sugar stuff..and leaves a weird sweet after taste) i've ever been prescribed in my entire life and still my tummy aches =(

so..congratulations to myself. not only do i have a wonky respiratory system that gives me such hideous sinuses that i've actually been diagnosed with sinus migraines (bet you've never heard of this eh!), i've also got a damn lousy digestive system. what else can go wrong??

Silence Day

i think every country should pick one day a month, and declare that day "Silence Day".

On this day, everybody must keep their mouths shut, and no one's supposed to speak at all, or make any form of sound. there should not be any form of communication...means no emailing, no msn-ing, no sms-ing, no anything! everybody should just SHUT UP AND NOT COMMUNICATE FOR ONE DAY!

if that really happens. i swear...that will be the sweetest day in the world.

am gonna watch britain's got talent from now on...

Singing spinster becomes surprise YouTube hit

LONDON: A frumpy 47-year-old Scottish charity worker who has never had a boyfriend has become an unlikely YouTube sensation, after her stunning weekend musical debut on a British television talent show.

By Wednesday the clip of Susan Boyle - whose dowdy appearance drew sniggers when she walked on stage on ITV's "Britain's Got Talent", saying she dreamed of emulating West End star Elaine Page - had been viewed 5.7 million times.

When she began to sing, the panel of three judges led by music guru Simon Cowell was visibly shocked, and the audience in Glasgow rose to its feet, as her voiced soared through "I Dreamed A Dream" from "Les Miserables".

"Without a doubt that was the biggest surprise I have had in three years of this show," said judge Piers Morgan, admitting that before her performance "everyone was laughing at you."

"No-one is laughing now. That was stunning."

Boyle, from West Lothian, who says she has never been on a date or been kissed, now is the favourite to win the show - drawing comparisons with Paul Potts, an opera-singing mobile phone salesman who won in 2007.

Potts went on to have number-one albums in 15 countries. - AFP/de

wow! new blog skin! am so proud of myself =D

what i've been up to the past 2 months

sob sob...my favourite person has sailed off to somalia for 4 months to fight the pirates in the gulf of aden. for those who don't know, yes pirates still do exist, but they do not dress like those in the pirates of caribbean.
thanks to all who sent their well wishes, and NO I DID NOT CRY when the ship sailed off. but there were other women and babies who cried like it was the end of the world, and i just stood there and looked at them in horror.
yes of course i am sad that he is gone for 4 months, but i will survive! (doesn't my favourite person look cool when he's at work? HA..just had to add that to gross everyone out =P)

oasis concert! a really last min decision. i'm sorry but i have to say i didn't understand a single shit that liam gallagher was saying. his brother noel is a much better singer and crowd entertainer. the rest of the band were just goblocks standing there. nonetheless, it was a great concert (but coldplay was better), and the people i went with played a big part in making it fun =)

2nd tattoo for my favourite person. guess it wasn't as pain this time round, as he didn't squeeze my hand as hard as the first! there was a hell lot of blood because he drank the night before. pls do not drink the day before you're going to get a tattoo done, unless you really like bleeding.
in case you are wondering what kinda bird that is...it's a blue bird (geddit?hur hur). just joking, it's a dove.

free upgrade from the cheapest tix to 2 rows from the stage, all because my colleague's friend sang "Yellow" to this girl who works for coldplay. could never have taken such great pics! but alas..my cam was out of memory and then the batt went flat...booooo...so i only have pics from the first half the concert.
