oh well...there's no escaping. pics!
peach, mel and jin....look where i had dinner at on my first night there?! our fav...shan hu hai! thank god they didn't play the song...i think i wld have puked out my dinner.
the feast i had that night. ginger crabs, roast goose, stewed goose feet, lamb hotpot, yam/pumpkin pot, fishhead with pork...topped with a bottle of schweppes ice-cream soda. bloody delicious and fattening. no more pics of my other feasts...but what i had on one of the nights...steamboat at yao guat hei, my fav! char siew pao and xiao long bao meant for the steamboat, plus the fish noodle thingy...and of course not forgetting a nice cup of suan mei tea.
all i have to do now is like look down..and my double chin..make that quadraple chin..sticks out!
2nd day: chubs and i ventured out on our own as the parents went for the tea ceremony. later that night..my mom said to us both..."the both of you should have gone! so many good looking boys there! maybe u could have gotten to know one or two...oh yar and got one boy look like ____". i think they're getting a bit worried that their daughters will be left on the shelf, and they have realised that the peony painting's not working it's supposed magic.
later that night...we attended the wedding dinner...it's pretty much the same as over here..but the ppl seriously dress super interestingly. check out the guy below..he looked like a potential terrorist la...way off the cool factor already.
3rd day: met up with my granduncle from vancouver who was holidaying in hk. omg...old people..they just love to reminisce the past. we walked one thousand miles to the i dunno what convention centre just to look at the boh-i-dunno-what golden flower. this was our reaction..."ok nice flower......." damn bad la.
4th day: shopping around harbour city and ocean terminal...branded goods galore. lane crawford wins hands down for it's christmas decoration every year. we found two new shopping places...argyle center and fa yuen street. omg...argyle center is far east times 2. freaking a lot of cheap and good stuff...but if u are claustrophobic or have athsma..or just damn short...i suggest u skip that place. it's so packed..there's hardly any oxygen.
oh yea...not forgetting the other feast at my aunt's on our last night there. we freaking travelled a distance that's equivalent to pasir ris to jurong east for a plate of ginger crabs (yes again), steamed scallops, two freaking big plates of veggies (my aunt said we have to finish it because veggies are damn expensive in singapore as compared to hk...-_-"), steamed fish, cold chicken, cold duck and blardee huge pot of "leng" soup...and to end the night..fruit cake (that's the bride cutting the cake) plus tang yuan. omg...i feel like puking already.
our brilliant tour guide brought us on a merry-go-round ard the estate...omg..walked until we almost died. i was contemplating collapsing at the door of my auntie's house and exclaiming that her house is so far!
guess who we saw on our last day there?! shi yi ge! shit i always see him. why don't i bump into ppl like sammi cheng or andy hui or andy lau??? oh yea...we saw george lam at the intercontinental hotel...he looked like he just walked out of the guiness ad. -_-"
tribute to my grumpy shopping partner. u suck. we were breathing down each other's neck the entire trip...u are a lazy bum for making me pack the luggage all the time. but smart enough to realise that i grabbed the wrong luggage at the airport. HAHA! i bet u didn't realise it...but the luggage that i grabbed was a total different colour from ours...hahahha! oh well..i am not the only dumb ass because pops grabbed the wrong one too!
but i admire you for your guts. i dared chubs to salute to the fire engine that was stopped at the traffic light..and she really turned towards it...and saluted! the expression on the firemen's face was hilarious! even mastercard can't pay for it.
