unofficial first day of school

it's an unofficial first day of school because the official first day of school was monday, but i declared it an off day for myself..because i celebrated hari raya haji. apa kabar? haha..yar right.

well well..i survived the first day of school. it was alright. tech innovation is like major zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....but anyway at least i have the great company of melody, jin, pete and ben..and of course chia too..who didn't turn up coz she had rashes i think. but hard luck..we can't do proj together coz they're gonna assign the groups.

but anyway...hahahahahahah...i am seriously damn amused by it...if it really works..then all guys need it! especially when they are out clubbing coz that's when they are up to their monkey business! but i know it's one of those rubbish u find in topshop...

anyway..soci of tourism is like well..soci of tourism. every bit like our geog of tourism module...but ah well..i like tourism..so i'm gonna stick to that!

yj and i dropped by the fos today to check out if there was anything for us to grab..and i got a new a&f shirt but hard luck..yj didn't find anything that she liked..never mind yj..we'll go again in a few weeks time..then there'll be more stuff for us to check out!

and tmr's off day for me again! woohoo! gonna meet harry..my sis says that, all i'm short of, is a friend by the name of william, to form the royal family...because right now there's (prince) charles and (prince) harry -_-" ...that..is definitely damn lame.

oh yar..trudy gave me 6 tix to dxo for tmr night and it comes with a complimentary drink...i'm left with 4..who wants to go? sms me...otherwise it'll go to waste...

LEI HOU from Hong Kong!

dai ga hou! haha..yeap..in hong kong right now..the first time that i brought my laptop overseas! for the sad purpose of bidding for my modules. BUT...i'm really glad that i brought it along because it has never been more useful! i just found out that it's free to use the internet..so now i can check how to travel from place to place, the weather, and many other stuff that i need to know about hong kong while i am here...and of course to chat, blog and bid for my mods when i am in the hotel, taking a break from walking ard or waiting for dinner time to come...

spent the day shopping around causeway bay with my sis..nothing much to buy coz it's winter time....but of course we still managed to find some stuff..here's what we got..

• three pairs of RELATIVELY CHEAP size NINE heels (you can't find these in singapore...or bangkok)
• two very nice pairs of homecoming pants
• and some knick knacks

of course we ate a lot too..and erm...i finally found xu liu shan...it's right across timesquare..i never knew =P

our hotel's located right across the hong kong jockey club..and tonight's racing night! how fun!? my room faces the racing track...so later i can watch the race...and the spotlight's on a horse by the name of FLAMING LAMBORGHINI tonight...haha..

disneyland tmr..can't wait! but erm..the thought of asian cinderella, sleeping beauty and belle is a bit :S

netball at kallang two or three weeks ago

checked out the princess's palace on thurs and it's huge..as big as we imagined it to be. it's a house that's totally filled with stuffed toys! in fact it's more of a toy shop than a house if you ask me...becca and i were very fascinated by the life sized bear and garfield..so we had to take some photos with them....

HAPPY 2006!

the entire last week was spent clubbing, hanging out with friends, shopping, eating, chilling at people's house, visiting new bars and i dunno what..i can't even remember now. all i remember is coming home at 3am or later every night. so now my dad is how not pleased with me and all..but well..he says he doesn't care anymore..so ok..haha..i don't either. afterall..school's gonna start in like a week's time, and then i'll be jailed up in kent ridge..and so i'll be a good girl once again.

nye was spent at loof..this roof top bar at odeon towers..err i don't really like it..no seats..and it's quite hot and humid..and after a while..it gets boring. it's quite a star-studded place..but i'm sure by now everyone knows i'm not really into this interested-in-celebrity thingy..haha..like kunies and jin always ask..."which singapore celebrity do you like (or not dislike)??"..my usual answer...NONE! don't give two hoots or a damn about them! haha! the only star i want to see in my life is sammi cheng =)


sooooooo....2006 is here! is that a good or bad thing? haha i dunno. i sure hope it is good! 2005 was...well...2005 was like that. a lot of things changed, but yet a lot of things also remained the same. i read other's blog and i see how they like to talk about how good or bad 2005 was, but for me..i think i'll just start the new year with a clean slate.

err i don't exactly have any new year's resolution either, because i know that i will never keep to them..so don't start off the year deceiving myself.haha! for this year..i'm just gonna take everyday as it comes. life's much happier that way..so i have learnt.

i'm off to hong kong tmr! my fav country in the world other than england and australia. disneyland hk here i come! so see everyone again when i am back!

the only person from the 84 year who's younger than me had his party last night....and that person is none other than our lao pa ,brian! haha..i will never forget the day i stood at the band board checking out the band contact list when i found out that there was actually someone who's birthday's after mine..and then i started laughing to myself......

the party was at costa sands ...a joint celebration with his gf..omg..is it join, joined, or joint?! freak...my english is getting from bad to worse! check out his bday cake man...so 'sweet'...ok...lazy to type...the pics will say all i have to say!

Firstly....MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!! ok, i'm one day late, but well..there are 12 days of christmas right??

secondly....to all who came for my dinner..and who stayed out till 5am..THANK YOU very very very much! I'm really glad that all of you came and thanks for the wonderful time! and also to all who smsed me with birthday wishes..thank you too! and of course..thanks for the wallet..i love it! hahaha

had my birthday dinner last night..yes...i'm FINALLY 21..i think practically everyone who wished me happy birthday yesterday said that to me..haha..well..here's what i did yesterday...

started the day by meeting up with my bestie..and we went to *ahem*...heartland mall in houngang.HAHAHAHA...we were going on and on about how we can't believe we're actually spending the afternoon together at heartland mall..but there's a reason for that choice...and it's because town would have been too crowded and unbearable! thanks for the sakae sushi treat babe! and i love the bag =) after lunch, we wanted to find a place for dessert, but there wasn't such a place in the cha chad..erm..i mean lovely heartland mall..so we ended up sitting on one of the benches in the mall with our bravisimo (or whatever it's called) ice cream..and talked for a whole hour before we begin our photo taking madnwe went a leetle crazy taking ridiculous pics..

then at 7pm...i had my bday dinner at the singapore recreation club in a chinese restaurant.....machiam i was getting married...haha but well..i hope everyone enjoyed the food! and once again..thank you for coming!

cherilyn and jin treated me to a waterfall..thaks a lot the both of you..and i'm sorry that i puked ur 25 bucks out =( after the waterfall i puked 5 times..and i felt like my teeth were all rotting from the gastric acids! and to wally..thanks for buying the panadol for me..without them..erm i would have been sleeping for the rest of the night la..

after i was sober..and while everyone else was still sober...we headed to MoS..sadly elaine went home =( but omg...MoS is fcuking nice! i think we've found a new playground already!but man..we had to pay 28 bucks to enter last night..and it only came with one free drink! -_-"

this is us in the i dunno what room...u have to open a bottle to sit on these seats...but..hah..we bluffed the waitress and she let us sit there..so..we went crazy taking pics! isn't it beautiful?! haha..and jin loves it the most coz it looks like her fav bed supper club!

and this is us in heaven...look..so bright, white and pure looking...just like in heaven...ok hard luck..this isn't heaven..it's the freaking nice and huge toilet..haha...

and then we managed to take a pic with the very hot hip-hop dj (looks a bit crappy in this pic though)who has a funny accent..and so we can't guess where's he's from...but sian..by the time we reached the hip-hop room..he already stopped spinning and it was closed for the night =(

and when the night ended...we all took a plane home!

jam packed week

been out doing stuff almost everyday since i got back..which is good. because it is a sign that i have been making full use of this too-short holidays..

my days are spent searching for a hotel for my hong kong trip, and it seems like my usual hotel is fully booked. how extremely saddening.it's the best hotel in terms of it's location..near the tram stop, the city and mtr station..so i had to settle for charterhouse hongkong, which i dunno is where..which is quite bad because it means i have to learn where to take the tram and all..and i'm not extremely good at this directions thing.

other than that...i've been a total sims addict, and i've been planning stuff for my FINAL semester. on one hand i'm extremely excited to end this less than fun learning journey in NUS,but on the other hand i'm extremely sad, because it means i have to start work, and no such thing as school holidays, or hanging out and slacking with my buds anymore!

past two hours have been settling grad stuff and all that rubbish, and all modules have finally been classified..and...yay! i just found out my soci mod can be classified as a cnm module..so...it means i only have ONE MORE cnm mod to take! woohoo..so..i hope i can find a cross-listed soci-cnm mod to take next sem..and then i'm done with that.

now..for the more interesting stuff........

ZOUK:
a blast!for once the ideal people were around and the not ideal ones weren't..haha..and hence i had tons of fun. we went to get our chops at 930..and after we came out 5 mins later..there was a freaking queue..mad or what?! headed to may's house for drinks (thanks may for the alcohol and lending us ur place!) and the new season of ATM..then back to zouk! but hard luck..by the time we finally got into phuture..we weren't high anymore..

supper at spize after that..KUNIES FELL ASLEEP WHILE EATING HER PRATA AND DROPPED HER FORK ON THE FLOOR! hahahahaha..and according to melody..."shakun slept like a baby in the taxi..."..hahaha...but kunies..at least u didn't fall down the steps and we didn't have to "carry" u in phuture:P

but the worst is still...hobz...we were all in the midst of a conversation and she fell asleep! wtf! jin and i were damn shocked/amused/amazed! i don't understand how you can fall asleep while talking hobz! i just don't understand how you can fall asleep! i mean...i really don't understand how you can fall asleep!..hahaha..get it?

and wah lau..i only got like 3 hours of sleep that night because i had to wake up early go and buy my wine and blah blah blah for my dinner on sat! and..heh heh...i got my bday present from my dad already =]

by the time i got home i was dead tired...immediately concussed on the bed for two hours..and then i was up and getting ready for netball! we played for almost two hours at kallang...dunno what's the score and not important anyway...but it was fun and an extremely good work out! then it was off to macs...where we sat and chatted till 1am before we all stinkily, stickily, and tiredly headed home..

ok...nap time..and then i have to go fetch my sis at the airport..see everyone at dinner tmr!

seems like i've been in aust for eternity! the 10 days passed so slowly..but super fun! i'm officially fatter and darker...and...i want to blog about my trip but my cam is with my sis who's still in aust...so...that'll have to wait...

everyone's back from their various trips already! woohoo! missing everybody! see ya all on wed for you know what!

in 4 hours time...i'll be off to sydney and melb!! yayy...i miss melb! although it can be super boring at times...it can actually be super fun too! and..i've never been to sydney before..haha. so anyway i'll be away till the 19th...don't miss me...hur hur.

todayyyy i was a good girl. i woke up early, and i went for lunch with my parents, and then i went to the market in chinatown with my mama...and then i went shopping with them. haha!

the market in kreta ayer complex is HUGE! i was pretty fascinated..and they are still open at 1pm in the afternoon. well...i wasn't exactly pleased with walking around the market in my jeans and birks..because the market isn't really the nicest smelling and driest place in town ya know..but anyway it was a pretty good experience, coz i haven't been to a market in a very long time.

we headed to tampines mall after that coz my dad wanted to change some of his money to aussie dollar (i'm leaving for sydney and melb in 2 days time..haha)..but in the end, he didn't manage to get the money coz it was sold out. but i on the other hand..went home with new pair of shoes!

yesterday...i went with my sis, peach and hil to check out bugis village..coz according to some tv show..it's supposedly really hip and cool now..with a new second storey and all...but well..all in all..it's still junk..and once there is more than enough for me..haha!

it's funny how on ck's bday, su had her bday celebration..and on su's bday ck had his celebration! anyway..all of us went to ck's aunt's cafe - blu jaz cafe- at dunlop street for his bday celebration today...his treat! haha...the whole family was there..except for kenny...sian.....

Happy Birthday CK!

last night was sulin's birthday party..and as usual..we saboh-ed ck because today's his birthday..haha! last year we used whipped cream...but this year..sulin concocted three bags of extremely disgusting bombs - milo and flour. i almost puked at the sight of them...but for our - becca, wj and i - own safety, we decided that it'd be best if we just used flour instead..because..the year before..i was the one who ran out to saboh ck but the bloody whipped cream did not come out of the bottle and before i could spray him again he turned around..grabbed the can and attacked su and i instead! -_-"

ck's a kok...he went to hide behind this pot of plant..thinking that it was big enough to cover him! and su's friends made this even more disgusting mixture of ketchup, mayo, flour and i dunno what else for her...*puke*...the smell was utterly revolting! anyway...in the end..both ck and su kena that disgusting mixture...

we caught SPL after that...omg..the show is bloody brilliant! as in seriously brilliant...and literally bloody! the fighting scenes in the show were fantastic and the kungfu was damn zhai! and of course...timmy hung acted in the show too! heh heh heh..so cool eh? father and son in the same show..but timmy hung's character was a bit...uncool..haha! aye i forgot to say...simon yam is as handsome as ever..and sammo hung is just way cool la...don't see him fat..he can fight!

we couldn't decide whether to watch aeonflux of spl at first...but luckily we decided to watch this instead..because i'm quite sure aeonflux would have been a waste of my 10 bucks!

and.........i finally got to drive my fav car last night......MAZDA 3...black with the black seats [only sad thing is that it's not mine =)]!!!! *sobz* thanks su! i'm so happy =)...i've been longing for this day since eternity! hahaha..and i drove ck's merc too..wah lau..never again will i touch his car! so difficult to drive...and never again will i drive with ck sitting next to me..he's like my father! keep nagging!

in 11 hours time i will be free from this horrible thing called the exams. this is the first sem that i'm ending on the last day of the exams period..and seriously i can't wait for it to be over....it's really killing me because..

1. some of my friends have ended and they are enjoying themselves like hell
2. my last paper is only 15% and is made up of 45mcqs and a 5m short ans qn...and it's torturous trying to study hard for something that you don't really want to give two hoots about but you have to force yourself to
3. i want to go home and leave kent ridge because i've been cooped up here for way too long
4. i've had enough of this cup noodles and one-meal-a-day business
5. i have no more money for food
6. i moved my hifi back last week and i'm really dying from the lack of music and sound in my room
7. human interaction level's at its all time low and i'm starting to feel like a hermit
8. seeing the same person everyday makes me stressed and irritated and i have the tendency to quarrel with people i hang out with for a prolonged period of time
9. i can't wait to go to australia and the wait's killing me
10. i just want this to end.

so just now i did something that many people would say is the ABSOLUTE WRONG THING TO DO since i have a paper tmr......i ...went...to...zouk! hah...but trust me...it was the absolute wrong choice..because firstly...some people pang seh me lor...i also don't want to name names...*cough* peach and hildra*cough*...chan, van and i queued for an hour plus before we finally got in...then the baggage counter was full and chan's bag was as big as a luggage so we had to wait for damn long before we finally deposited our bags...i missed the 1 for 1 hour *beep*...after all that shit my mood just went downhill and i got damn pissed so i spent like most of the time standing around.. and now i have this stupid headache and i'm angry over some things and they are preventing me from sleeping..so here i am blogging! and then after this i am going to read my lect notes. what a stupid night.
