Happy 21st Brian!

the only person from the 84 year who's younger than me had his party last night....and that person is none other than our lao pa ,brian! haha..i will never forget the day i stood at the band board checking out the band contact list when i found out that there was actually someone who's birthday's after mine..and then i started laughing to myself......

the party was at costa sands ...a joint celebration with his gf..omg..is it join, joined, or joint?! freak...my english is getting from bad to worse! check out his bday cake man...so 'sweet'...ok...lazy to type...the pics will say all i have to say!

Firstly....MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!! ok, i'm one day late, but well..there are 12 days of christmas right??

secondly....to all who came for my dinner..and who stayed out till 5am..THANK YOU very very very much! I'm really glad that all of you came and thanks for the wonderful time! and also to all who smsed me with birthday wishes..thank you too! and of course..thanks for the wallet..i love it! hahaha

had my birthday dinner last night..yes...i'm FINALLY 21..i think practically everyone who wished me happy birthday yesterday said that to me..haha..well..here's what i did yesterday...

started the day by meeting up with my bestie..and we went to *ahem*...heartland mall in houngang.HAHAHAHA...we were going on and on about how we can't believe we're actually spending the afternoon together at heartland mall..but there's a reason for that choice...and it's because town would have been too crowded and unbearable! thanks for the sakae sushi treat babe! and i love the bag =) after lunch, we wanted to find a place for dessert, but there wasn't such a place in the cha chad..erm..i mean lovely heartland mall..so we ended up sitting on one of the benches in the mall with our bravisimo (or whatever it's called) ice cream..and talked for a whole hour before we begin our photo taking madnwe went a leetle crazy taking ridiculous pics..

then at 7pm...i had my bday dinner at the singapore recreation club in a chinese restaurant.....machiam i was getting married...haha but well..i hope everyone enjoyed the food! and once again..thank you for coming!

after dinner..we headed to en lounge for more drinks...

cherilyn and jin treated me to a waterfall..thaks a lot the both of you..and i'm sorry that i puked ur 25 bucks out =( after the waterfall i puked 5 times..and i felt like my teeth were all rotting from the gastric acids! and to wally..thanks for buying the panadol for me..without them..erm i would have been sleeping for the rest of the night la..

after i was sober..and while everyone else was still sober...we headed to MoS..sadly elaine went home =( but omg...MoS is fcuking nice! i think we've found a new playground already!but man..we had to pay 28 bucks to enter last night..and it only came with one free drink! -_-"

this is us in the i dunno what room...u have to open a bottle to sit on these seats...but..hah..we bluffed the waitress and she let us sit there..so..we went crazy taking pics! isn't it beautiful?! haha..and jin loves it the most coz it looks like her fav bed supper club!

and this is us in heaven...look..so bright, white and pure looking...just like in heaven...ok hard luck..this isn't heaven..it's the freaking nice and huge toilet..haha...

and then we managed to take a pic with the very hot hip-hop dj (looks a bit crappy in this pic though)who has a funny accent..and so we can't guess where's he's from...but sian..by the time we reached the hip-hop room..he already stopped spinning and it was closed for the night =(

and when the night ended...we all took a plane home!

jam packed week

been out doing stuff almost everyday since i got back..which is good. because it is a sign that i have been making full use of this too-short holidays..

my days are spent searching for a hotel for my hong kong trip, and it seems like my usual hotel is fully booked. how extremely saddening.it's the best hotel in terms of it's location..near the tram stop, the city and mtr station..so i had to settle for charterhouse hongkong, which i dunno is where..which is quite bad because it means i have to learn where to take the tram and all..and i'm not extremely good at this directions thing.

other than that...i've been a total sims addict, and i've been planning stuff for my FINAL semester. on one hand i'm extremely excited to end this less than fun learning journey in NUS,but on the other hand i'm extremely sad, because it means i have to start work, and no such thing as school holidays, or hanging out and slacking with my buds anymore!

past two hours have been settling grad stuff and all that rubbish, and all modules have finally been classified..and...yay! i just found out my soci mod can be classified as a cnm module..so...it means i only have ONE MORE cnm mod to take! woohoo..so..i hope i can find a cross-listed soci-cnm mod to take next sem..and then i'm done with that.

now..for the more interesting stuff........

ZOUK:
a blast!for once the ideal people were around and the not ideal ones weren't..haha..and hence i had tons of fun. we went to get our chops at 930..and after we came out 5 mins later..there was a freaking queue..mad or what?! headed to may's house for drinks (thanks may for the alcohol and lending us ur place!) and the new season of ATM..then back to zouk! but hard luck..by the time we finally got into phuture..we weren't high anymore..

supper at spize after that..KUNIES FELL ASLEEP WHILE EATING HER PRATA AND DROPPED HER FORK ON THE FLOOR! hahahahaha..and according to melody..."shakun slept like a baby in the taxi..."..hahaha...but kunies..at least u didn't fall down the steps and we didn't have to "carry" u in phuture:P

but the worst is still...hobz...we were all in the midst of a conversation and she fell asleep! wtf! jin and i were damn shocked/amused/amazed! i don't understand how you can fall asleep while talking hobz! i just don't understand how you can fall asleep! i mean...i really don't understand how you can fall asleep!..hahaha..get it?

and wah lau..i only got like 3 hours of sleep that night because i had to wake up early go and buy my wine and blah blah blah for my dinner on sat! and..heh heh...i got my bday present from my dad already =]

by the time i got home i was dead tired...immediately concussed on the bed for two hours..and then i was up and getting ready for netball! we played for almost two hours at kallang...dunno what's the score and not important anyway...but it was fun and an extremely good work out! then it was off to macs...where we sat and chatted till 1am before we all stinkily, stickily, and tiredly headed home..

ok...nap time..and then i have to go fetch my sis at the airport..see everyone at dinner tmr!

seems like i've been in aust for eternity! the 10 days passed so slowly..but super fun! i'm officially fatter and darker...and...i want to blog about my trip but my cam is with my sis who's still in aust...so...that'll have to wait...

everyone's back from their various trips already! woohoo! missing everybody! see ya all on wed for you know what!

in 4 hours time...i'll be off to sydney and melb!! yayy...i miss melb! although it can be super boring at times...it can actually be super fun too! and..i've never been to sydney before..haha. so anyway i'll be away till the 19th...don't miss me...hur hur.

todayyyy i was a good girl. i woke up early, and i went for lunch with my parents, and then i went to the market in chinatown with my mama...and then i went shopping with them. haha!

the market in kreta ayer complex is HUGE! i was pretty fascinated..and they are still open at 1pm in the afternoon. well...i wasn't exactly pleased with walking around the market in my jeans and birks..because the market isn't really the nicest smelling and driest place in town ya know..but anyway it was a pretty good experience, coz i haven't been to a market in a very long time.

we headed to tampines mall after that coz my dad wanted to change some of his money to aussie dollar (i'm leaving for sydney and melb in 2 days time..haha)..but in the end, he didn't manage to get the money coz it was sold out. but i on the other hand..went home with new pair of shoes!

yesterday...i went with my sis, peach and hil to check out bugis village..coz according to some tv show..it's supposedly really hip and cool now..with a new second storey and all...but well..all in all..it's still junk..and once there is more than enough for me..haha!

it's funny how on ck's bday, su had her bday celebration..and on su's bday ck had his celebration! anyway..all of us went to ck's aunt's cafe - blu jaz cafe- at dunlop street for his bday celebration today...his treat! haha...the whole family was there..except for kenny...sian.....

Happy Birthday CK!

last night was sulin's birthday party..and as usual..we saboh-ed ck because today's his birthday..haha! last year we used whipped cream...but this year..sulin concocted three bags of extremely disgusting bombs - milo and flour. i almost puked at the sight of them...but for our - becca, wj and i - own safety, we decided that it'd be best if we just used flour instead..because..the year before..i was the one who ran out to saboh ck but the bloody whipped cream did not come out of the bottle and before i could spray him again he turned around..grabbed the can and attacked su and i instead! -_-"

ck's a kok...he went to hide behind this pot of plant..thinking that it was big enough to cover him! and su's friends made this even more disgusting mixture of ketchup, mayo, flour and i dunno what else for her...*puke*...the smell was utterly revolting! anyway...in the end..both ck and su kena that disgusting mixture...

we caught SPL after that...omg..the show is bloody brilliant! as in seriously brilliant...and literally bloody! the fighting scenes in the show were fantastic and the kungfu was damn zhai! and of course...timmy hung acted in the show too! heh heh heh..so cool eh? father and son in the same show..but timmy hung's character was a bit...uncool..haha! aye i forgot to say...simon yam is as handsome as ever..and sammo hung is just way cool la...don't see him fat..he can fight!

we couldn't decide whether to watch aeonflux of spl at first...but luckily we decided to watch this instead..because i'm quite sure aeonflux would have been a waste of my 10 bucks!

and.........i finally got to drive my fav car last night......MAZDA 3...black with the black seats [only sad thing is that it's not mine =)]!!!! *sobz* thanks su! i'm so happy =)...i've been longing for this day since eternity! hahaha..and i drove ck's merc too..wah lau..never again will i touch his car! so difficult to drive...and never again will i drive with ck sitting next to me..he's like my father! keep nagging!

in 11 hours time i will be free from this horrible thing called the exams. this is the first sem that i'm ending on the last day of the exams period..and seriously i can't wait for it to be over....it's really killing me because..

1. some of my friends have ended and they are enjoying themselves like hell
2. my last paper is only 15% and is made up of 45mcqs and a 5m short ans qn...and it's torturous trying to study hard for something that you don't really want to give two hoots about but you have to force yourself to
3. i want to go home and leave kent ridge because i've been cooped up here for way too long
4. i've had enough of this cup noodles and one-meal-a-day business
5. i have no more money for food
6. i moved my hifi back last week and i'm really dying from the lack of music and sound in my room
7. human interaction level's at its all time low and i'm starting to feel like a hermit
8. seeing the same person everyday makes me stressed and irritated and i have the tendency to quarrel with people i hang out with for a prolonged period of time
9. i can't wait to go to australia and the wait's killing me
10. i just want this to end.

so just now i did something that many people would say is the ABSOLUTE WRONG THING TO DO since i have a paper tmr......i ...went...to...zouk! hah...but trust me...it was the absolute wrong choice..because firstly...some people pang seh me lor...i also don't want to name names...*cough* peach and hildra*cough*...chan, van and i queued for an hour plus before we finally got in...then the baggage counter was full and chan's bag was as big as a luggage so we had to wait for damn long before we finally deposited our bags...i missed the 1 for 1 hour *beep*...after all that shit my mood just went downhill and i got damn pissed so i spent like most of the time standing around.. and now i have this stupid headache and i'm angry over some things and they are preventing me from sleeping..so here i am blogging! and then after this i am going to read my lect notes. what a stupid night.

which reminds me..about a month back...a group of us went to zouk together (that same time when i spouted all that nonsense to jin on the phone..)and life's good had one flamming lamborghini and one shot of i dunno what...and she was woozy for the entire night. after zouk we all had supper at five star chicken rice at river valley, and after sharing the chicken rice with me..she couldn't take it anymore..so she rushed to the dustbin behind to puke. jin went to check on her and guess what the kok said??

hob: *puke* since i puked everything out...can i not pay for the chicken rice???
jin: WHAT!!!!! hahahhahahahhaha

yay! my bahasa's over..that marks the end of my bahasa indonesia learning journey..i think i've had enough...ok maybe if i didn't have to take tests and exams i don't really mind studying further? haha...anyway..this entry is about all the ipod gadgets that have popped up in recent times...and they just get more and more amusing....


iTrip by Griffin Technology:
i'm sure everyone has heard about this little wonderful gadget here...i know of numerous people who have one (sadly i don't..because i still haven't gotten the chance to drive the car alone...hence i have no need for one!) and it's just utterly amazing how you can sync your ipod with your fm stereos (house, car blah blah blah)..ok this is really old..so if you have never heard of it...one word for you...SUAKU!


iPod fM stereo tuners by Belkin:
this is the cheaper alternative of the iTrip by Belkin and Monster and many other brands i.e. some kok china brand. they are relatively good too...in fact sometimes even better than the iTrip in terms of clarity and syncing is easier with them...they give you like a few stations that you can sync to..whereas the iTrip has to be synced to errm...i think 89 pt something fM or it has to be programmed to sync with other channels...but of course aesthetic wise...they lose out...

so anyway...i was checking out my iPod shop brochures and whatever that i get in my email...and i noticed this new gadget ..i dunno how new it is...but i've never seen it before it was promoted in the latest brochure. so i stared at it for the longest time and thought to myself..who in the world still uses a casette tape?! ok...i know m'sia still sells casette tapes..because i couldn't stop laughing at them when i was in KL...but anyway...that's not the point. so i go on to read the description of this gadget and it says

0359 and my phone rings twice...i pick it up and find that i've received two smses...i open my inbox..and start reading the sms..and it starts updating itself everything five seconds..and i can't continue reading the damn thing! after a full min...the updating stops..and it appears that i've received a six smses long sms..haha...and then i wonder..who's so free to send me so many smses?! then i realise...it's none other than my bf! i must say...it's the sweetest thing to receive at 4am in the morning when u're just sitting here rotting and waiting for food to arrive and for something more exciting than exams to happen.... this was what the sms said...

it's winter time in singapore!!but of course...the cool weather comes with a price..that is..rain and thunderstorm...and as i type..it's drizzling out there. i just stuck my finger out of the window..and hmm..the temperature is approximately 26-28degrees right now...do u trust the temperature told by my themometer-of-a-finger? haha..anyway..it's really cold these days.in fact i can't decide which is colder..my aircon that's set at 25degrees..or the outside temperature. i had a hard time deciding between leaving the aircon on and studying with my hands,feet and brain in a freezed-up state...or opening the window and turning on the fan instead,to study in a condition whereby the humidity of the atmosphere is at 101%. well...i settled for the aircon in the end...and to warm myself up..i just took a 2omins long hot shower..and now i'm sitting here in my warm tee and track pants...like as though it's really winter time..HAHA!

tomorrow marks the start of the exams period for me...my first paper - cities in transition. in four hours time...i have to be tucked in bed and in a deep sleep..because i want to wake up with a clear mind!

so..since monday afternoon, i've been stuck in this hole that i call my hostel..and i've only left the grounds of pgp twice - once to study in sch with elaine and another to go to the lib to zap my readings. the only other places that i've been to are the pgp canteens...and the foyer to collect the meh-donalds breakfast(oh! the meh-donalds delivery thing is really quite a good idea!).human interaction level is at it's all time low - the only other human being i see everyday is cootie....and i really feel like as though i've been cut off from all forms of civilisation.

my days are spent in such a manner..i wake up at 4pm and i read a little..then i have dinner at around 7pm. i come back to my room to watch tong xing yuan (that crappy show) till 8pm..then i read a little or take a half hr nap..and then at 10 i watch yummy yummy! then from 11pm onwards.. i start my reading again (which by the way proceeds at a very slow speed)...and i chat online once in a while..then at around 5am i order macs breakfast and cootie and i rejoice when the delivery man arrives..we gobble down the food..and i continue to study till 7am..which is when i will go on msn to find a msg with nudge from my flen harry who is the only person alive at that insane hour (that's coz he's in uk)..and we chat till 8am..then i go to sleep..and then the cycle repeats itself the next day...my whole whatever cycle cannot be more screwed up than this already! hah!

ah sadness...meems and kunies have left for melly-borny..and so i have no one to play showdown with anymore...or no one to occassionally msn me with the msg.. "YOU BETTER BE STUDYING HARD!". next week my 'life's good' is gonna leave for aussie land too....blah...i wish i was over there playing too instead of sitting here studying for the eggsams. but never mind...soon it'll be my turn to leave this place too!

man...the dreaded physics essay had finally been submitted..that marks the end of one module for me...which hopefully..i'd be able to pass..chances seem pretty slim...but hey..i'm not despairing!

exams are starting next saturday....and i haven't started yet! ARGH! haha...but then heng i am already at least a quart through..coz i decided to be a little more hardworking this sem...and kept up with my readings for the first part of the sem! hohoho...

last night was spent at blooie's with meems, kunies, ayy, manda ong, hobz and wally...kun and i had a pint of hoegarden each and it was one for one! i think i got cheated...i ordered a portabello mushroom burger...and i remember clearly that under the description..they said there's 170g of grilled beef in the burger..but halfway through my burger under the red/blue lighting...i realised that..the two black masses in my burger were two humongous mushrooms...WHERE'S MY BEEF???? but..i was too hungry to ask about it..so i just gobbled it down...besides it was pretty good...

oh...the chicken wings at blooie's are very meaty and tasty!

argh sian..that's all....other than food...life's pretty boring right now...

it's 0616 on a tuesday morning..and the last time i went to sleep was at 0000 and i woke up at 0100! i've got a class at 0800 so...the very tricky question here is..should i go to sleep??haha..i think i can tahan till 1000, when i will head to the doctor to get this body of mine checked...so i can get this damn flu out of the way...

so after like a whole night of contemplation as to whether i should do the stupid physics essay (damn you too!haha..hey i'm loving this damn you thing...)...and a long "lecture/pep talk" i dunno what u wanna call it from cootie..many "please do your essays" from jin and kun... and "jia yous" from meems...i freaking dug a topic out for the essay..and got my ass down to the lib today to borrow 5 books...and so i proudly announce the title of my essay is...

after this paper..i'll be a black hole and stars guru..u can ask me any question..i will give you the answer..no sorry...you can go and find the answer in my well-written paper! coz..after i drop it into the box..i won't know what the hell i wrote anymore! so...right now i have 250 words up..out of 4000 words...and it's due on thursday!! yayy!! so u see ..the reason why i'm going to the doc later..is not to get medicine to cure this flu of mine..but to get some medicine to keep myself alive because there's like 3 days of absolutely no sleeping coming up!

oh i forgot to mention why i was contemplating whether to do the stupid physics essay or not...because i got a ZERO for the first test..HAHA..i am always proud of myself whenever i fail a test! never ashamed! so whoever thinks i am paiseh over my results..i say...u sure dunno me man..i never cry over my results! NEVER! all i do is...oh no..sian...hoowww...sigh..shiitt..now i'm worried...actually..after once i'm done complaining...i kinda forget that i failed the test! hahahaha..ok..the last time i got zero was in primary two when i failed my ting xie alright..laugh for all you want..i don't give a damn! haha..errr why i got zero was because..there's negative marking..so haha...they deducted whatever marks i got till it reached zero!

so there's another test this wed...eh sian...and i dunno what the hell's going on...i mean ok from the tutorials..yes a little..but the lectures..wtf la..dunno what she's talking about...so i stopped going for lectures since lect 5..hahahha!!NO WAY AM I EVER DOING PHYSICS AGAIN FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!

last sem i learnt in my jap mass media module that tv programmes are scheduled in such a way that they catered to different groups of people throughout the day..duh..that is quite obvious..but ok anyway i didn't really believe it. because whenever i watched the tv..the programmes that were being shown appealed to the everybody. when i say everybody..i mean my father, my mother, my sisters and i. haha...hey it's not an easy feat to find a programme that all of us are willing to watch together alright....

so anyway, my only class of the day is over..hence i'm free for the rest of the day(or at least i choose to believe that i am..). so here i am sitting at my laptop, channel-surfing...and...wah lau...please go and watch what show's on at noon on channel 5 everyday...you will believe that the programmes are scheduled for different groups of people after you've seen this show. it's a freaking programme that tells you what sheets to put on your bed...for this feel...you should use this particular material..for that feel that material..obviously..it's for housewives because, only housewives would be home at this hour and watching the tv right?? (don't be stupid..kids who are home will of course watch kids central!) it's the worst show ever! i hope that in the future when i become a housewife..i won't be watching such shows!

i must say..i'm absolutely touched! wally burnt me two cds with about 500 songs in all because all my songs were wiped out! THANKS WALLY....akan mehadap kehadapan la! hahahaha!

i am back!! my laptop lives!! it crashed again! damn it! and my dad brought it to acer and changed the whole damn hard disk for 325 bucks..i thought it was super expensive..but everyone tells me that usually it'd cost ard a thousand..so..hmm i gues i got a good deal! but of course this good deal comes with a price..and that is...ALL MY DATA GOT WIPED OUT!! i'm devastated!...DEVASTATED!! sigh...my 1000+ song collection...hundreds of photos..and all my work from year 1 sem 2 onwards......omg........sianz..........

was talking to luther just now...and he told me that he thinks i kena this osscv.exe thing which he's been checking up on...ok i duno if i got tt name correct..but anyway according to him it's some malware that got stuck onto my comp from some malicious website that i visited (I DID NOT GO TO ANY PORN SITE MIND YOU!) ..and then he sent me the url to his blog and there were instructions on how to remove them...omg...i felt like strangling myself..if i had asked him earlier...none of whatever's written in the first paragraph wld have taken place! boohoo...

so anyway...JIN! that's the damn thing that causes the physical dump! u gotta get rid of it soon!
